If you're passionate about surfing and want to break into the booming surf industry, then this course will put you on the right path to your dream job. Based at Lusty Glaze Beach in Newquay, just yards from the breaking waves, the Surf Science & Technology Foundation Degree, validated by the University of Plymouth, is designed to give students the skills and knowledge needed to further their careers in this exciting and fast-paced industry.

While the degree has a scientific focus, students can choose from a range of modules which also cover the business, marketing and cultural sides of the industry.

The foundation degree is seen as a stepping stone on to full degree courses and successful students are expected to enter careers such as product design, hydrodynamic engineering, beach management, retail, marketing, PR, event management and corporate sponsorship.

As well as being a great place to study, the Education Centre at Lusty Glaze boasts a new classroom and IT suite for truly professional beach based learning. Students also have access to state-of-the-art facilities at the new Cornwall College Newquay campus.
